1. Who we are

ShubhMilan (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides the ShubhMilan website and mobile applications (the “Services”). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use the Services.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect account details (such as phone number or email), profile information (such as name, age range, city, preferences), content you submit (such as photos, voice introductions, and messages), device and log information, and, where you allow it, approximate location to show relevant matches and safety features.

3. Camera, microphone, and photos

Android (Google Play) and iOS. Our apps may request permission to use your device camera so you can take or update profile photos and other in-app images you choose to add to your profile. We use the camera only when you initiate capture inside the app; we do not run background video surveillance.

We may request microphone access where the app offers features such as recording a short voice introduction. Audio is used only for the features you start; we do not listen continuously outside those flows.

Photos and audio you submit are processed to provide the Services (for example, storing and displaying your profile to other users according to your settings). You can remove or replace content where the product allows it, subject to retention described below.

  • Creating and maintaining your account and profile
  • Showing matches, recommendations, and in-app experiences you request
  • Safety, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcing our terms
  • Communicating with you about the Services (including service and security messages)
  • Complying with law and responding to lawful requests

5. Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us host, secure, and operate the Services (for example, cloud infrastructure and analytics), with other users as controlled by your profile and privacy settings, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information for money.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, subject to legal requirements and limited backups.

7. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to safeguard data appropriately for the Services we provide.

8. Your choices

You may access, correct, or delete certain information in the app or by contacting us. You can revoke camera or microphone permission in your device settings; some features may not work without them.

9. Children

The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age required to use the Services in their region.

10. International transfers

If we process information across borders, we take steps consistent with applicable law to protect your information.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
